Biography

Paul Decker began his art education in high school at Brooklyn Tech and after serving in the Marines in World War II completed his education in New York City. Mr. Decker, a freelance commercial artist was a frequent exhibitor in the Northeast and has participated in numerous one man shows in Hartford, Boston and New York City. He won many watercolor awards and several of his works are in the permanent collection of the Berkshire Museum. His paintings can be seen on greeting cards and calendars throughout the United States, and he designed the original trail brochure for Butternut Basin ski area. Two of his water colors were purchased by the director of the Boston Symphony. Paul was a member of the Great Barrington Pistol Club for over 50 years and won many competitions and awards for his shooting.
