Biography

A longtime illustrator and one of the founding faculty members of the Famous Artists School, Briggs worked for most of the major magazines of his era. He also did pulp illustrations, magazine posters, and ghosted the drawings for Flash Gordon. Briggs went to Vietnam, where he covered a Marine unit. He left commercial work to become a painter in France
